Food was so good. The outside looks rough but the inside is decorated nicely, the service was great and the menu had a lot of options. Decently priced too. Would definitely recommend
This is a phenomenal place!! We frequent this often and the food is always great!! The food is always hot and service is quick!
Always hits the spot. I love coming here the service is always pleasant and the food is always warm. I love the warm lighting. Make sure you come early, it gets packed quick!
My favorite Thai place in central PA. May even be my favorite restaurant in the area, it is at least in the top three. Great dishes, not overly sweet. Some of the best Thai soups I have had anywhere. The only thing I've had that I didn't care for was the drunken noodles, but everything else has been fantastic!
Very good Thai. Dishes are savory. We recommend everything on the menu, including the more expensive whole fish dishes. Expect to pay around 17-18 for a meal plus cost of drinks and apps. The best seats for ambiance (and kids) are by the salt water fish tank. Staff is helpful, but often seemed rushed. It's worth the go if you like Thai.
Delicious authentic tasting Thai food, huge family style portions. Staff is friendly--seems like it's maybe family owned which is nice. The atmosphere is ok, nothing fancy, but the food makes it a 5 star.
Set in a Thai atmosphere with very comfortable seating in booths or at tables set up for multiple sizes of parties. We were greeted and seated but reservations are almost a must or you may have a wait. Ordered the fresh wrapped Shrimp -Chicken Rice Paper Summer Roll served with a tangy peanut chili sauce as an appetizer. & the wife tried Tom Yum Kai Spicy:, Lemon Grass Soup with thin noodles she said it was spicy but very enjoyab For my Main I ordered the Beef Smoked Chili Cashews My wife ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken! Our meals were brought out Hot & Delicious.
First of all, we're regulars at this restaurant. At least we were until we went full-time RVing. I pretty much get the same thing every time (though I've tried a lot of their gluten-free options) because it's just always a hands-down winner! The Mango Mango Curry is just the right balance of mild spicy & deep flavor. The portions are HUGE. I always take home the leftovers & usually can stretch it into 3 total meals - what I eat there, and leftovers for both hubs & I! They also have brown rice IF you ask for it, which is far superior to white IMHO. Their Thai Coffee is also delicious... and unfortunately on this visit - my last for a while - their coffeemaker was down so they couldn't make it. I also usually get that drink because their water has historically been horrid (I'm a water snob). I always take a backup water bottle just in case... though this time I was pleasantly surprised that their water was pretty good! They must be filtering it now. YAY! Then of course the main reason I eat there... the Mango Sticky Rice! OMG it's the perfect balance of sweet & sweeter. The mangos are always just perfectly ripe and the rice is just the perfect amount of milky goodness. Plus, it's gluten free as well, so that just makes my world much better. :) If you're in the area and don't mind the tables being tight together, especially if you can go there at a non-typical eating hour (we're usually there around 3pm to miss the rush), you'll experience amazing service and a great, cozy environment without the craze of people. They do get a ton of takeout orders around dinnertime (I mean a TON - they dedicate an entire row of tables to these orders), so keep that in mind as well with how long you'll wait for your food. I wish I could say I've found its equal of restaurant in our travels so far, but I haven't. This one is a "must visit" every time I'm in the area!
I enjoyed a nice meal at Bangkok Wok on a recent weekend. The restaurant is in a strip mall on Carlisle Pike, neat the Lowes store in Mechanicsburg. The interior is nicely decorated and there was guitarist/singer playing when we arrived at a very pleasant volume. There are many selections on the menu, though are described mainly in English and not the Thai name for those dishes. That's a nice touch for the first time visitor. Thai food can be notoriously spicy but the food at Bangkok Wok is offered with a variety of spice levels. The servers will be glad to explain the differences and help you choose. No bar here and I didn't ask if they were BYOB as I usually just stick to water---and plenty of it LOL--when enjoying Thai cuisine. If you enjoy Thai food then Bangkok Wok is definitely worth a visit.
